Comfort Meals has been founded since early 2002 that's how long Bruce and I have been serving the community of  the greater Montreal area. Originally catering to  pharmaceutical  companies, we realized how fast the elderly and the working population was growing, increasing  the need of our services. We've filled that void and have been very successful at it.

Having taking care of  my family and brought up the kids, now, taking care of my elderly parents and, my  love for comfort food I've come to understand the need of a more healthier way of eating without compromising the taste.  I started to reduce the salt,  the fat content, replaced with my own blend of herbs and spices and the results are quite good. We work with dietitians if needed, to help them guide their patients to lower their blood pressure, loose weight and control diabetes.

Comfort Meals is not just frozen meals, it is a delivery service where we care about our clients  likes and dislikes, health issues and dietetic restrictions etc… We  give our clients the time to address their issues and guide through our menu, when needed. We are not gourmet food we are comfort food with a twist of health, less salt and lower fat. Our individual serving consist of protein, carbs, vegetables and, for a small fee we can make changes, protein and just  vegetables or, protein and  just carbs.

Sandra Phillips has mentioned us numerous times in her news paper articles and her Smart Shopping guide. We really specialize with the elderly and the working population since they don't have the ability  nor the time to make them selves a simple comforting home style meal. Who has time to invest into making a Beef Stew or Chicken a la king let us take care of that.

Our meats are soft and juicy, our gravies are low fat and without adding much  salt we replace it with herbs and spices so  it does not taste bland. They are great for just about anybody that is concern with what they are eating. We offer over 50 items on the menu from beef to chicken items, pastas, vegetarian dishes, fish, soups and desserts. Our soups are made from scratch with lots of grains and vegetables nothing like the ones that only have broth.

They are prepared every week and flash frozen than delivered to you. We can even place them  in the freezer for you if you wish. All you have to do then is, choose your meals, warm it up in the oven for 20 minutes or, in the microwave for about 3 minutes, when your done just toss away our biodegradable container in the trash or recycling bin.
